How to Answer Exams Questions .
Decode:

Exams questions are different and each question type requires a certain way of responding. The Cornell University Learning Center identifies the questions types as so:
- Green Light Questions: Those are called the “Go Right Away Questions”. Factual- based questions that you either have the response for , and you can go right away to answer , or you don’t have the answer , and you can directly move on to the rest of your exam questions.
- Yellow Light Questions: Also called the “Slow Down Questions “because it needs you to slow down and recall much of details, and different information to answer one question.
- Red Light Questions: These are the “Hold on Questions”. This type of questions requires a lot of thinking, time, and focus because we are not supposed to know the answer for such questions, but instead we need to know the basic information and use it in a new way to come up with the answer ourselves. Identifying this type of questions helps you not be surprised once you see one because it is not about knowing the exact response, but about how to formulate it.
