The Journey of a Young Student towards a Bright Future.
Now that we have an idea about types of stress, how do you think we can manage it?
Fethi: Before we talk on how to manage the stress, we need to learn and identify what are the causes of stress. Ask yourself, what is causing me to stress out? Most of the time it is actually not our studies because for someone who has been working so hard from the beginning of the year, you are not supposed to have that much of stress. Therefore, what I need you to do is to take a step backwards, analyze your environment, and see what are the reasons that would make you stress out. Think of the smallest and stupidest reasons. Stress is an additive phenomenon, its build up from a little bit of stress here, a little bit of stress there that will definitely grow and trap you in the underwater feeling. So identify where your stress points are, and from there we can go. Sometimes it comes from physical situations, mental, emotional or even a chemical related to your environment. After you identify what is it causing you to stress out, I need you to reflect and ask yourself many questions. You need to see whether the problem that is causing you to stress out deserves to be a problem from the first place, if your exam is your top priority anything that is not like in the list of your priorities should be eliminated, taken away , and this way you can reduce the amount of stress that you feel .
